Service to the community
Supporting General Practice:
The Schwartz Foundation is a founding Benefactor for the GPRA (General Practice Registrar Association) which supports General Practice specialisation trainees all over Australia. The funding provided by the Schwartz Foundation is chanelled towards projects which helps to match trainees with practices, and also to determine the needs of trainees.

Supporting Medical Training
The Schwartz Foundation has bequeated a substantial amount of money to help establish the Anatomy museum and Surgical Skills laboratory at the newly established Medical School of the Notre Dame University, adjacent to St Vincent's Hospital and Hospice in Darlinghurst, Sydney. Moreover, Dr. Jerry Schwartz is involved in setting up the museum, and also to assist in the Anatomy curriculum. |

Supporting Jesuit Social Services
The Schwartz Foundation is also a active financial sponsor of Jesuit Social Services. It is involved with two major projects:
(1) assisting a programme which facilitates finding work in the community for disadvantaged people
(2) providing a central city venue, in Melbourne, in the Victoria Hotel, for offices, and counselling rooms for grief counselling for the family of those who have committed suicide. |
